Effective in selected in Asia Pacific (APAC) markets, the partnership will serve to help RS address the gap in their pneumatics offering and Festo in expanding their APAC presence.

RS Components (RS) is expanding its APAC portfolio by adding thousands of products from the Festo range to its A&C (Automation & Control) line card through-out the region.

Festo offers products, systems and services surrounding pneumatic and electric control and drive technology—whether in the factory or process automation sector. RS is playing an important role in the distribution strategy of Festo, within Asia Pacific and globally.

The Festo range available from RS includes pneumatic and electric drive technology as well as valves and manifolds. These can be applied in the production and assembly areas of various industrial segments whether it is the automotive or electronics industry, printing and packaging technology, the semiconductor or food and beverage industry.

By adding this range of items to its A&C line card, RS is taking yet another step in better serving the needs of its Asia Pacific customers when sourcing products for specific applications.

By partnering with Festo, RS is addressing the gap in their pneumatics offer and enhancing their service to engineers, says William Chong, head of Product, Supplier, Inventory and Pricing Management, Asia Pacific of RS Components.

This distribution agreement between Festo and RS comes at a time when Festo is strengthening its presence in Asia Pacific. The range will become available for distribution in the following Asia Pacific regional selected markets: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

Extending their partnership to selected markets of Asia Pacific also reflects the two companies' successful alignment across Europe, where the Festo brand has been a very strong performer.

"The extension of this partnership is great news for our customers," said Ee Sian Lee, managing director of Festo South East Asia and Pacific. “RS as a distribution partner makes perfect sense for us with their extended network of industrial customers and market-leading support and service. We look forward to a fruitful business partnership.”
