The global dietary supplements market is expected to reach US$220.3 billion in 2022, with a CAGR of 8.8 percent between 2017 and 2022, reports Zion Market Research. Asia Pacific was the largest market, accounting for more than 31 percent share of the total volume of dietary supplements market, and researchers expect this trend to continue in coming years.

Vitafoods Asia, the dedicated annual event for the growing nutraceutical, functional food & beverages, and dietary supplement market in Asia, is in its seventh edition this year, and moves to Singapore to further broaden its appeal within the Asia Pacific region and worldwide. It will be held over two days from 5-6 September, 2017, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Singapore is actively positioning itself as the food hub of Asia and it has increasingly becoming the regional hub of R&D centres. About 80 percent of the world’s top food manufacturers have a presence in Singapore.

This global exhibition and conference is the platform for the nutraceutical industry to meet and do business in Asia. It brings together the entire nutraceutical supply chain: Ingredients & Raw Materials, Finished Products, Contract Manufacturing & Private Label and Services & Equipment.

Every year, the show has attracted more than 3,000 industry professionals and over 200 global suppliers from over 40 countries to build profitable relationships in the region. Its wide range of free visitor attractions also enrich visitors’ experience as they can see the latest innovations, gain knowledge and new insight, and meet new and existing business partners representing all sectors of the nutraceutical industry in the region.

This year, a total of 34 brands will showcase a variety of retail-ready functional foods and beverages and dietary supplements from around the world. Buyers, distributors, retailers, and suppliers can look forward to uncovering the latest product innovations at the show.

As with previous editions, attendees can explore the Inspiration Showcase and Tasting Bar for the latest launches and star products, which include vastly different items that address a variety of needs—such as energy drinks, meal replacement bars, chewable supplements, and collagen jellies.

Visitors sourcing finished products can also look forward to education opportunities related to their areas of interest, such as the presentation on ‘Functional food in Asia: Research & Validation’, which is part of the newly-introduced Life Stages Theatre that focuses on the specific nutrition requirements needed throughout the stages of a person’s life.
