Mongibello’s new line of functional coffees containing NutraT are ready-to-use soluble powder formulas that dissolve easily in water, soft drinks and dairy products.

Their high solubility ensures the finished beverage stays clear without turbidity whilst delivering a fresh taste. With these, drink manufacturers can fortify their products with natural extracts that are typically not water-soluble. It is formulated without preservatives or synthetic collars enabling clean-label claims, and is also certified kosher and halal.

There are four different types of coffee in the line: Detox—coffee containing CynaxT artichoke extract; Cardio, with OliveT olive extract; Relax with RosT, a lemon balm extract; and Mental, with Ginseng EFLA 913, a ginseng extract.

The functional drinks market turnover reached US$8.79 billion in 2015, increasing significantly from US$3.73 billion in 2011.

The demand for functional drinks will continue increasing with the improvement of resident health awareness, which opens up various opportunities for functional drink manufacturers, reports Research and Markets.
