The global organic food and beverage market is expected to reach US$320 billion by 2025, according to market intelligence company Grand View Research Incorporated.

Comprising organic beverages, fruit, vegetables, coffee and tea sub segments, the market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 16.4 percent between 2016 to 2022, reports Allied Market Research.

According to the Organic Trade Association’s (OTA) 2-16 Organic Industry Survey, conducted from January to March this year, the US organic industry posted new records in 2015, with total organic product sales reaching a new high of US$43.3 billion, rising 11 percent from the previous year’s record and outstripping the overall food market’s growth rate of 3 percent.

Consumers in fast developing countries such as China are expected to make the conversion to organic food over the coming years.
