The Hygienic Wet Blasting process, developed in collaboration with TNO, is a new surface treatment that makes magnetic separators more hygienic and easier to clean as no product remains in the casing.

It reduces the surface roughness of the stainless steel casing, thereby minimising adhesion of wet and dry products to the magnet while also reducing adhesion of bacterial and microbial contaminants to provide optimal corrosion resistance.

The hygienic wet blasting process can be used to remove very fine iron and steel particles in the dairy industry.

Food demands are becoming harder to achieve. Consumers want personalised, unique foods that have familiar mouthfeel, texture, and are nutritious. At the same time, they also expect it to be from a sustainable source and a part of the solution to solving world hunger. Food manufacturers can now meet all those demands with one technology.
