Demon Slayer x Next Meats: Limited Edition Plant-Based Yakiniku Instant Curry!

Next Meats, the brand that introduced the world’s first alternative yakiniku meats, is set to launch Singapore’s very first plant-based yakiniku meat production facility!

Ingredients will be imported from Japan, with processing and packing to be carried out in Singapore. Meanwhile, Next Meats will be unveiling another new product: plant-based instant curry.

Low in fat and high in proteins, the curry contains no animal-derived ingredients, chemical seasoning, acidulants, colourings, and fragrances. With a sweet note and a thick consistency, this curry pairs impeccably with a bowl of udon or fluffy rice. It also comes with chunks of Next Meats’ meat. The offering is launched in collaboration with Demon Slayer— Kimetsu no Yaiba—The Movie: Mugen Train.

Based on a manga series, this movie was the #1 movie in Japan, breaking record with over $100 million at the box offices after only ten days in theatres. Each Demon Slayer-themed box will come with a limited-edition acrylic keychain featuring the main character and will be exclusively available in all Don Don Donki stores from 27 September 2021 at S$7.49.

Next Meats has also partnered with Aburi-EN to launch a limited-edition Demon Slayer x Next Meats meal, available in stores from 3 September 2021. The Premium Karubi Don Set (S$13.80) will star grilled meatless boneless short rib with Aburi-EN’s special sauce served on premium Japanese rice and tofu wakame miso soup, and will come with a Demon Slayer keychain as well.

The plant-based brand has specifically chosen to work with Aburi-EN as it is a Japanese grilled-meat specialist. “This is the second time we are working with Aburi-EN,” says Akira Yasuda, CEO of Global Good Plant Meat Pte. Ltd. “Our continued collaboration signifies our commitment to introducing consumers to new food options and showing them how easy it is to embrace a lifestyle that values environmental sustainability.”
