Nippon Paper Industries has entered into a license agreement with liquid food packaging supplier Elopak to introduce its Pure-Pak carton shapes in the Japanese market.

The agreement covers the production of Pure-Pak Classic cartons with Curve feature and Pure-Pak Sense cartons, which already serve the dairy, soft drinks and functional drinks industry in Europe. Closures will be applied to the cartons for consumer convenience.

Since 1965, Nippon Paper Industries has produced and sold gable-top cartons under the “NP-PAK” brand. The introduction of the new Pure-Pak cartons aims to improve functionality in liquid food packaging in Japan.
